Orthopedic ONE Sports Medicine Corner

Orthopedic ONE is proud to be the official Sports Medicine Partner of Elysium Tennis. Each month we will provide tips and tricks to help keep you active and healthy so you can be your best on the court! Look for more specific injury and nutrition-related topics in future newsletters!

One health-related aspect often overlooked by people who consider themselves active is nutrition. Many believe since they are exercising, they don’t need to pay attention to what they are eating, but this is far from true.

Nutrition not only impacts how we perform but also the benefits we see from training and how we recover from activity, both physically and mentally.

Focusing on balanced, well-timed meals each day will do the trick! Click here to learn about the appropriate nutrient composition for the active individual.

There is no need to incorporate fancy supplements to achieve good nutrition. However, if you choose to augment your healthy diet with supplements, click here to learn how to do so safely.

In addition to improving athletic performance, good nutrition positively impacts sleep, immune health, and longevity.
