Elysium Tennis is a club that cares! Elysium offers our youth athletes a wide range of options, from beginners to our college-prep academy. Elysium Tennis will keep your student positively engaged with this lifelong sport.

“At Elysium, we are here to support every player to meet his or her individual goals,” Director of Junior Development Alice Tunaru explains. “If we have a kid interested in playing tennis for the first time, we have a beginners program just for teens. We have clinics for student-athletes that want to play for their middle or high school team. We also have options for our more competitive players who want to play at tournaments or the college level. Whatever your goals, our expert coaching staff supports your child’s mental and technical development.”

For Tom Ohler, a 2018 graduate from Hilliard Darby High School, the relationships built while playing tennis are key. “I enjoyed the people I played with,” explains Ohler. “Playing after school at Elysium and playing throughout high school and college. I made a lot of great friends that I can still play with today.” Tom played tennis at Otterbein University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Today he is an operating room nurse at The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.

Elysium’s coaches encouraged more than 40 players to follow their dreams of playing at the collegiate level. In addition, 18 students claimed State Championship titles and another ten earned State Runner-up titles in the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) tournaments. Approximately 60 Elysium kids play on middle and high school teams every year.

Jessica Easdale, a 2008 Dublin Jerome High School graduate, earned a scholarship to play tennis at Bowling Green State University because of the coaching she received at Elysium. “The coaches I had were key to my success,” said Easdale. “They cared about the kids first as a whole; then tennis is what they teach. My coaches came to my musical, graduation party, etc. They try to help you in other aspects of your life, and you become friends with them.” Jessica graduated from BGSU in 2012 debt-free with a Neuroscience degree. Today, she is a pediatrician for the Cleveland MetroHealth Hospital.

Student-athletes require patience, guidance and a team that will support them throughout their journey. From the outstanding facilities to the caring and expert staff, Elysium Tennis is the perfect place for your teen to play!
