As the weather warms up, many of us head back outside, and with National Tennis Month here, it’s the perfect time to pick up a racket and enjoy the season.
Warm Up Before You Hit the Court
Outdoor tennis requires quick reactions and repetitive swings. A short warm‑up with dynamic stretching and light cardio helps loosen muscles and prepare your joints, especially your elbows and shoulders.
Protect Your Elbows and Shoulders
Tennis elbow often develops when players return to the sport too quickly or rely on improper technique. If you’re returning to tennis this spring, focus on proper form, choose equipment that fits your skill level, and gradually increase your playing time to reduce strain.
Listen to Your Body
A little soreness after your first few sessions is normal, but sharp or persistent pain is not. Early attention to discomfort, whether in your elbow, shoulder, knee, or wrist, can prevent a minor irritation from becoming a longer‑term injury. Taking rest days, cross‑training, and staying hydrated all support healthy, sustainable play.
At Orthopedic ONE, we’re here to help you enjoy every moment outside this season, keeping you strong, confident, and ready for National Tennis Month and beyond.
