Beginner Tennis Program

Fall 2011 & Winter 2012

The Beginner level programs at Elysium are intended to introduce young or prospective players to the sport of tennis while keeping the experience fun and interesting. The Beginner programs have their own set of policies, so please read all of the information included below.

Our aim is to have all of our players enjoy themselves and stimulate a desire to continue playing tennis, a sport for a lifetime.

The Quickstart program for Mighty Mites is designed to introduce the youngest player (4-7 years old) the basic skills and techniques of tennis in a fun and nurturing environment. Quickstart will allow players to have success in a shorter amount of time. The tennis balls used are made of foam so they are slower and lighter. Racquets for this group range from 19” – 23”. The court size is 36’x18’ wide with a net height of 2’9”. All of this will make it easier for the kids to get the ball over the net and start rallying right away.
